THE HONEST ABE ROOFING MARKETING PHILOSOPHY

As you have probably gathered by reading through our website, we believe marketing is a key component to any great company.  Our motto is "if they don't know about you, they can't buy from you".  Our team spends countless hours developing marketing plans and advertising concepts for our franchisees.  We don't want you to participate, we want you to DOMINATE!

 

In the book Good to Great, author Jim Collins discusses the "Hedgehog Concept".  For this analogy, Collins juxtaposes the fox and the hedgehog.  Foxes are cunning with a bevy of strategies and approaches to reaching it's goal, whereas the hedgehog has only one (roll into a spiky ball to avoid being eaten), but it's a good one!  In business, this concept can be boiled down to one phrase, "pick what you can be the best in the world at, and perfect it".

We are big believers in Mr. Collins' "Hedgehog Approach" to business, with one minor variation.  We are, at our core, a marketing and sales company.  Which is why we have a two-headed hedgehog!  We are the best in the world at MARKETING and SALES.  

THE "4 SCORE" APPROACH TO MARKETING

When you invest in a franchise, you shouldn't have to put together your own marketing plan!  Wouldn't you agree?  But unfortunately, that's exactly what happens with most franchise systems.  After signing the franchise agreement, a new franchisee is given very little direction and left to fend for themselves in an ever-changing advertising landscape.

 

A robust and effective marketing plan is a complex thing with many moving parts and potential avenues to take.  Without direct involvement from the franchisor, a new franchisee can easily spend hours developing their own plan only to "spin their wheels" and fail to gain traction with consumers in their territory.   

That's why we take a different approach.

The very first thing that happens when you sign is that you get assigned a marketing team.  This team is comprised of experts in each of the disciplines in our "4 Score" approach to marketing: Digital, Social, Retargeting, Traditional.
