Election Day! And the winner is...

2020 has been a strange year, to say the least! The year started with the first global pandemic in over a hundred years, and it just got weirder from there. First we were required to change our lives in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19. Then the political season started... For months now, we have been bombarded with messages from both sides of the aisle romancing us with "promises" of a brighter future. Political parties, action committees, lobbyists, special interest groups, and the like, have taken over our TV, internet, radio and newspapers. They have inundated us with promises of a "better future for America", or "Healthcare for all". So the question becomes, who should we hitch our wagon to to guarantee our success?
Today is the day that we get to voice our opinions and cast our ballots. All this nonsense comes to a final culmination today. The ball is now now in our court. We get to determine the fate of our future. Or, has the ability to control our future always been within us? We here at the Honest Abe Roofing Franchise believe that the only way to live freely is to take control of your own future. In other words, by creating your own economy. William H. Johnsen said it best (Coincidentally, he was Abraham Lincoln's personal valet), "If it is to be, It's up to me". Understand that no matter who wins the presidency today, the sun will come up tomorrow. Then what? You will still have the same bills, you will still have the same physique, you will still have the same...
People who rely on the government are never going to be free. They will always be guided by forces outside of their control. Think about the photo above. If you were to drop a leaf into that lake, it would just drift along wherever the wind and the current pushed it. The sailboat, while being effected by those same forces has total control over it's direction. Be the sailboat, not the leaf!
While the aforementioned groups have sullied what is a sacred right, the right to vote still remains one of the most special aspects of being American. While we don't believe that politicians control your fate we do believe that it's your duty to get out and make your voice heard. So be sure to get out and vote!

So, who's the big winner in today's election? It's the person that decides to take control of their own destiny! Everybody else, we're sorry to say, is a LOSER! Voting for yourself is the only option that will lead to long term success. Life is very simple, but we find ways to complicate it. Take your own finances for example.
