Simplified Business Model

In order to have a successful business, the model has to be simple!  That's why our turnkey franchise business model consists of just 4 basic pieces that we call pillars.  

Those 4 pillars are:

Overview of the Honest Abe Roofing Franchise Business Model

When we created this franchise, we weren't blind to the fact that nobody had ever successfully franchised a roofing business.  The reason those that tried were unable to scale their franchise is because they didn't understand what their business was.  They thought that since they were in the roofing industry that they had a roofing franchise.  They spent all their time working out the elements of the business that were specific to the roofing industry, while ignoring the elements of the business that would have actually allowed them to have a scalable roofing franchise.  

They focused exclusively on the 4th pillar of OUR proprietary business model - Construction Management.  They struck deals with manufacturers of roofing materials, they developed training focused on installations, and some of the better roofing franchises even developed relationships with financing companies to allow their franchisees to offer their customers payment plans.  But they neglected the other 3 pillars (Marketing, Sales, Human Resources), and those pillars are arguably the most important pillars of a profitable franchise business model.  If you want proof of this, just google "Roofing Franchise" and visit the websites of the other roofing franchises out there.  You'll notice very little information about marketing, sales, and human resources.  That's why we are America's largest and most successful roofing franchise, and why they are not.

 

Owning a roofing business can be extremely profitable (as much as 60% gross profit) if ALL 4 pillars are strong!  The construction management pillar is very important, and we perfected it with our model, but we didn't do so at the expense of the other 3 pillars.
